Faces of cylinder

I am back with geometrical question again now, how many faces does a cylinder have. Look at the picture beside and tell me if any body can tell me how many faces does it have? Do you remember the circumference of the cylinder which was given to you earlier?

Guys the cylinder has three faces, observe this figure.

First one is on the top which is circle in shape.
We have the body of the cylinder which is circular face
Lastly we have the bottom of the circle which is again a circle shape. Here we have the edges which are circular and there are two vertices.

Guys i am going to start with sum of squares formula next, but before that i want to know if you want me to still write on cylinder and i will help you out.

factors of 25

When i was working on mathematical formulas, my little sister came up to me to ask factors of 25 which i wanted to explain it to her too. I showed her my previous post which was on factors of 10, this gave her an idea on factors.

Look here for factors of 25 below. I will work on some more similar problems again.

The factors of 25 are:

1 5 25

The prime factors is: 5

25 = 5,5 (Or 52 or 5 X 5)
/ \
5 5

Once i taught her this, i started working on my algebraic formulas back but then suddenly i remembered that i can put this for you all as well. Did you find it interesting? Give me your comments.

variable data statistics

Introduction of variable data statistics how about discussing this statistic concept. I am sure you will enjoy it as you did the previous post i.e. mean, median and mode. Lets go ahead...

Statistics is the perfunctory science of making operative use of mathematical accumulation relating to groups of individuals or experiments. It deals with all aspects of this, including not only the accumulation, psychotherapy and version of such data, but also the thought of the group of information, in terms of the system of surveys and experiments.

Lets discuss on some geometrical concept like 120 degree angle in my coming post..prepare yourself.

symbolic method

Here i have some simple linear equations problem using symbolic method, look at it below. We have worked on many linear equations earlier also. Now lets see how to work them in symbolic method.

Linear equation is a very important topic in algebra which is used to find the unknown variable in the equation given.

It is a form of linear expression and also has one equality sign. We find both the sides equal.

Find a problem solving linear equation using symbolic method below.

Problem 1:

X + 15 = 30

Solution:

The given equation is x + 15 = 30

Solving for x,

Subtract 15 from each side.

X + 15 – 15 = 30 – 15

X = 15.

The answer is 15.

I have found graphing fractions also a very interesting topic to be discussed.....

whole number definition

Lets learn what is whole number definition? Do you remember working on problems on whole numbers.

Definition of a Whole Number:- Whole number is a set of positive integers without any fractions or decimals as a part of the set. It is not a negative number but simply the numbers 0,1,2,3,4,5...zero is also included in the set. In other words whole numbers are 'Counting Numbers and Zero'.

what is vertices in math? lets learn that shortly....
